We live a pretty boring life. I’m not ashamed to say it.
But this past week, we did a few pretty exciting things.
On Monday, we took Nathan to the theater to see Cars 2. We really wanted to take him and when we found out a way to get free tickets we decided we had to go! Nathan did really good despite the fact that the movie was during nap time. He even whispered for a while. He got bored at the end when he realized he could climb up and down the steps in the theater and Ryan had to take him out.
This was his first movie in the theater so he was a little overwhelmed at first.
He looks super mad at me but I think he was just trying to figure everything out.
On Wednesday we heard about Touch-a-Truck in Eugene and knew that Nathan would love it!
It was a little noisy and overwhelming for him and in the end he really just wanted to play on the swings.
Nathan was really excited to drive the bus. We live right by a bus station and sometimes we sit and watch the buses come and go. He loves them!
Driving the fire truck. He looks so little and so big at the same time!
On Friday, Ryan and I went and did something EPIC! We went on a date! Well, even though that is epic, what I really mean is: We went to see the LAST HARRY POTTER MOVIE EVER! On opening day!
We went with our friends Matt and Christy and I loved it! Thanks so much to Kristin for watching Nathan for us!
I wore the same Harry Potter shirt I’ve worn to every single movie. I bought it when I was about 14.
It fit better then.
I wish I had done something cooler in this picture but you can see that my little hands are clenched in fists of excitement.
Voldemort killed my husband.

It was fun going to see HP! I like the picture of Ryan being killed by Voldemort. I wish we would've been in town for the Touch a Truck. My boys would've loved it!
Love Nathan's Cars shirt! Love the new pics!
I'm so jealous that you've seen Harry Potter. I feel like I've committed some horrible crime because this is the first time I haven't seen it on opening night...and I'm still waiting almost a week later! What is the world coming to? I love the HP shirt though...brings back some good memories :) I can't believe how big Nathan is getting! What a cutie!
