In March, we flew down to Arizona to visit Ryan’s family. His parents live there, as well as his sister Janelle and her 5 kids. Ryan’s other sister, Jenn and her husband flew in from Tennessee and we had a big crazy week long reunion!
My kids were awesome on the plane! Still stressful, but man they were good.
For the most part, we spent the week soaking up the sun and playing in the pool and spending time together.
Like father . . .
like son!
Ryan and his brother-in-law Dan wanted to take a bike ride together and Janelle, Kallie, Jarin, Avery, Nathan and I met them at the lake for lunch.
These two became such good buddies!
We also got to travel to Gilbert, to visit my cousin Megan and her kids.
Aunt Jenn had a cupcake decorating morning with all the kids. She’s so great!
The rest of the week we hung out in the pool.
Nathan got to have a sleepover with his boy cousins one night, so Ryan and I took the opportunity to have a little date night!
The day before we left we all got together to have a picnic and take family pictures. It was HOT!
Ryan and his sisters wanted to replicate a picture from their childhood:
On the way back to Grandma and Grandpa’s house, we stopped by the Gilbert Temple and to get shaved ice.
The whole time we were in Arizona, Nathan wanted to see a cactus, so while Ryan and I ran around getting everything packed up and ready for our flight home, Grandma and Grandpa took him for some one on one time. They saw some cacti up close and personal and got some lunch and ice cream.
We miss that sunshine and especially all our wonderful family!
