7 months

Emma is 7 months old now and as cute as ever!

She has this funny deep, wheezing voice. She’s always making grunting, almost guttural noises. I guess that’s what happens when your brother growls at you the whole time your in the womb.

Emma is just barely starting to sit up by herself, although she’s pretty wobbly. She rolls occasionally, but other than that she’s pretty immobile.

She still has this ridiculously adorable crinkle-nose smile.

No teeth yet, but miserable and teething, for sure.

Emma loves tags, and crinkly toys and stuffed animals.

She loves to watch her daddy and thinks that Nathan is hilarious.

Her favorite place to be is the bathroom. I don’t know if it’s because there’s a lot of shiny stuff in there, but she squeals every time we go in. She also squeals any time we go near her closet. What can I say? The girl loves clothes!

Emma has decided she likes some baby food sometimes. We’re working on it.

This little girl definitely has her own personality and her own opinions. She’ll cry if she doesn’t get the toy she wants and gets mad when we won’t let her put something sharp and pointy in her mouth.

Dress Advice . . . again

Okay, I really need to learn how to dress myself eventually, but in the mean time, I’m going to keep second guessing myself and asking all of you for advice.

I need a dress for Ryan’s company Christmas party (in 6 days!) and I need help deciding which one would work better for me.

Here’s the full dress, but I would get it in black.

Thanks, all you fashionable, cute ladies!

It was supposed to be a quick project . . .

My “Quick” projects always end up taking more like 3 months, and the latest was no different.

We bought this cabinet for a record player a few years ago from a thrift store. It was cheap and perfect as an entertainment center. I always knew I needed to snazz it up though.

Here it is not long after we bought it:

And after I got to work:

And the finished product:

It looks much better with my living room now:

This desk was our last “quick” project.

6 Months

Emma is 6 months old now and so, so fun.

She still doesn’t really like baby food, but she is starting to eat some table foods like bananas and those little puff cereal pieces that melt in the mouth. We might just skip baby food at this point!

No one can make Emma laugh like Nathan and he loves to do it!

Emma sleeps good and eats good and is getting rollier every day.

No teeth, but I think she’s working on it.

She’s also not mobile in any way yet. I’m perfectly fine with that. Nathan didn’t crawl until after he was 10 months old.

Emma loves anything crinkly or made of paper. She’d be happy if I let her play with trash all day. I can’t say I never entertain her with an empty fruit snack wrapper.

Emma is just an all around happy, sweet and content baby and we love her to bits!

I don’t ever think to ask this, because to me she just looks like Emma, but who do YOU think she looks like?
