Emma’s Here- The Condensed Version

I’ll write a more detailed post later, but here’s the condensed version of Emma’s story.

I woke up Friday morning and felt kind of crampy but didn’t think much of it and sent Ryan to work around 7.

Called Ryan at work in Seattle at 8 to tell him to come home!

My mom and Dad came around 9. Dad was taking Nathan and Mom was coming with us.

Ryan got home at 9:30.

We got to the birth center at 10:45

Emma was born at 12:12.

We were home again by 3.

Ryan and I looked at each other and said, “What a crazy morning!”

Yay! I really thought Ryan was joking about being home (actually I thought what was he doing home in the middle of the afternoon while you're at the hospital), and then I remembered you didn't have to go to the hospital. That must have been great!

How easy!! What a difference from Nathan, huh? You both look so peaceful - the birthing center must have been a very calming and peaceful atmosphere to have her in. Can't wait to hold her and hug her and kiss those chubby cheeks!!

She is beautiful. Congratulations!
How did you manage to get out of there in less than 3 hours? My doctor always made me stay for 6 hours after giving birth. (I wanted out as soon as possible!)
